Vue de monde, Melbourne – Dani Valent

On 17 August 2017, a chilly winter’s night in Melbourne, I hosted my most fabulous Restaurant Club dinner yet. It was everything I could have hoped it would be. The food was wonderful and creative, and the wine matches added another extraordinary layer of flavour and texture. The dining room looked gorgeous: glittery and stylish with Melbourne’s lights sparkling and winking from our vantage, 55 floors above the city. Best of all, my sold-out dinner guests smiled, laughed, chatted and glowed from beginning to end. That is my reward and delight. I was especially thrilled to welcome a number of guests from interstate and country Victoria.

Restaurant Club is my way of bringing together some of my passions in a glam and inspiring night out. I love restaurants. I love Thermomix. I love a special get together. This was all that and more. Vue de monde executive chef Justin James created an exclusive menu just for us, using the Thermomix in every dish. He came out and spoke – wittily and irreverently – during the evening to give us insight into his creations. Guests receive an eBook with some of the recipes so their night can continue forever.

There’s no other restaurant like Vue de monde. There’s no other machine like Thermomix. It was wonderful to bring them together for a luxurious and unforgettable night of exceptional culinary arts.

Members had the opportunity to join me before dinner for a special cocktail and VIP kitchen tour. Make sure you’re a member to have access to exclusive experiences such as these, and to be the first to hear about future events.

Many of you will know that I am an ambassador for FareShare, a food charity which rescues produce and turns it into nutritious meals for distribution to those doing it tough. I was pleased to talk a little about FareShare’s great work and to thank many dinner guests for their generous donations to FareShare upon purchasing their tickets.

Lots of people asked me where my outfit came from! The dress is from Nancybird and the coat and necklace are from Elk. I love supporting Australian designers. It was also a delight to send everyone home with pralines from Koko Black. Many thanks to the wonderful team at Vue de monde for this collaboration. I can’t wait for the next one.
