Powerful, Creative, Inspiring Women – Dani Valent

In the glow of International Women’s Day on March 8, I wanted to shine a light on some of the amazing women featured on my site. I love them for their warmth, generosity, intelligence, kindness, camaraderie and – of course – their food.

I often say that I love telling stories about food because it connects me with people. Often that means men – and some really great men too – but I reckon it probably includes more women. Even though some sectors of the cheffing world are still dominated by men, there are also many trailblazing, pathfinding, getting-on-with-it women and I love to seek them out. Home cooking – that daily food-on-the-table scenario – more often falls to women. It can be a grind but it can also be so satisfying and rewarding to feed and nurture those around you, especially when you have great recipes!

So, please enjoy the recipes and great vibes from these wonderful women. As well as the fab selection below, I have even more great women and great recipes here.
