Radio Chat – Truffle Time & DIY Food Adventures
Every few weeks, I drop into ABC Radio Melbourne to chat about what I’ve been eating, cooking and learning. This time, host Richelle Hunt and I talked truffles. The season is in full swing and Australia’s truffle industry is booming but this is still an ingredient that most people aren’t very familiar with. Are truffles worth the hype – and the big price tag? (And does everyone smile as widely as I do in the pic above when they find a truffle?)
After we settled that question, we were joined by broadcaster Hilary Harper to talk DIY kitchen adventures. Hilary makes her own soy milk and Rich had heard that I love making butter, so we got together to chat about the joys and perils of making food from scratch.
