I brought with me Stephanie Alexander’s new book, The Cook’s Table, a very lovely book of menus to cook for family and friends. It’s a fabulous book and I highly recommend it – but if you’ve got a cookbook quota, don’t forget that my Entertaining book is coming out in February. (Sorry Stephanie, but I thought I should mention it!)
Before I was on air, my food writer pal Richard Cornish rang in to chat about the complicated ethics of meat production and consumption. Richard’s book, My Year Without Meat, is one of my books of the year. Ooh, and I just noticed that there’s a quote from Stephanie on the front cover, so isn’t that just delightfully apropos?
