Chatting edible insects on ABC TV’s News Breakfast
Every now and then I visit Michael and Virginia on ABC TV’s News Breakfast program to chat about a food topic. This time it was edible insects.
Insects are:
– high in protein, iron, calcium and good fats
– able to be farmed cheaply and sustainably without heaps of infrastructure
– crunchy!
Michael Rowland got a buzz out of my home-baked bug muffins but Virginia Trioli doesn’t think insect eating is going to fly so I just had to wing it. #punalert #ouch
